Creek Side Village is surrounded by boundless natural, recreational activities.

Whether your preference is hiking, cycling or cross country skiing, you are within walking distance, or a short drive, to many local, regional and national trails for your enjoyment.

Local trails include Burford Lions Way, a hiking trail to Lions Centennial Park and Apps Mill Trail, which is located within the 100 hectare Apps’ Mill Conservation Area on Whiteman’s Creek.

A few of the other trails within a short drive include the SC Johnston trail, Grand Valley trail, Hamilton to Brantford trail, TH and B rail Trail, LE and N Trail, Paris to Cambridge and the Trans Canada trail, which links Canada from coast to coast.

Canadian Fly Fishing magazine rates the Grand river and Whiteman’s Creek as the #1 and #2 do it yourself Fly-Fishing destinations in Ontario.

Trails

If motorized winter recreation is your preference, the Burford Area Snowmobile club (a member of District 5 of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) has over 131 kms of groomed trails in the area.

Fishing

If water recreation is your passion, both the Nith and Grand rivers have many access points for canoeing or kayaking adventures. In 2016, 42,614 paddlers enjoyed the natural beauty of our river systems.
